Orientation for MUIC Inbound Students

The biggest batch of inbound students to Mahidol University International College (MUIC) to date attended the orientation seminar on September 7, 2017 at the Co-Working Space, 3rd Floor, Aditayathorn Building.

Some 270 students from the US, Germany, France, Austria, Canada, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Japan , China, and others attended the important event shortly before the start of Trimester 1, Academic Year 2017-2018.

Ajarn Brian Phillips, Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Networking, welcomed the students and gave advice about college life in Thailand while Ajarn Douglas Rhein, Chairman of the Social Science Division, discussed health and safety issues. Meanwhile, Ajarn Arpaporn Iemubol, Chairperson of the Humanities and Language Division along with her colleague, Ajarn Wimonsiri Hemtanon, gave the students brief lessons in Thai language and culture.

On September 8, the students went on a field-trip to Petchaburi province. At the Bang-Ket Beach, exchange students together with selected MUIC students provided free lunch for elementary and intermediate students at the local temple school. They also got a chance to learn basic Thai language and interact with the local community.
