On 5th September 2017, Times Higher Education (THE) was announced the ranking results of the year 2018 (Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2018). The total of 1,102 universities from 77 countries across the world was ranked this year. Mahidol University still is the best university in Thailand at 501 – 600 world ranking.
In addition, there are also 9 universities in Thailand ranked this year: Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Suranaree University of Technology, Chiang Mai University, Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Prince of Songkla University, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. Times Higher Education still uses the same ranking criteria and performance indicators as did last year as well as from the Elsevier’s Scopus research as part of the ranking method.
