A team of 25 enthusiastic Business Administration students under Ajarn Treerapot Kongtoranin and with the support of Ajarn Isabel Rodrigues, visited the Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) headquarters in Chatuchak on January 27, 2017 to take part in the second session of the MUIC-SCB Business Case Challenge. This was a jointly organized initiative by Mahidol University International College (MUIC) and SCB, in which senior BA students reviewed current business cases of the Strategy and Transformation departments of SCB and were asked to provide innovative solutions and recommendations in handling those issues.
During the two weeks that preceded this visit, students conducted comprehensive research on the specific business cases presented and worked on possible solutions for them, with the support of both MUIC professors and SCB managers. The visit was the culmination of this workshop. SCB executives praised the final proposals and presentations which displayed a very good understanding of the real problems at hand and provided excellent ideas on possible ways to address them.
The participants expressed their thanks to SCB for providing a tremendous learning opportunity. They added that they look forward to more successful workshops this year.
