As part of Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) official welcome to the inbound exchange students who are going to attend Trimester 3 of Academic Year 2019-2020, MUIC organized an orientation for them at Charinyarasami Room, Aditayathorn Building on April 19, 2019.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, MUIC Dean, gave the welcome address and provided information about how to stay safe and healthy while studying in Thailand. The students came from MUIC’s partner universities in several countries such as USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, and others.
Dr. Brian J. Phillips, Academic Advisor for Exchange and Visiting Students, along with Ms. Wimonsiri Hemtanon, Assistant Director of the Intercultural Studies and Languages Program, and staff members, also gave presentations on academic procedures, introduction to Thai language and culture, and other necessary general information.
In the afternoon, the students went on a field trip to Siam Niramit Theater to learn more about the culture and history of Thailand. They also visited a miniature Thai village and were entertained with traditional Thai dance and music.
