The Office of International Affairs and Networking of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized an orientation on January 4-5, 2018 for 160 inbound students from Germany, USA, the Netherlands, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. who enrolled in Trimester 2 of Academic Year 2017-2018.
During the first day held at the Auditorium, Ajarn Brian J. Phillips, Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Networking, gave a welcome speech to the students. Ajarn Wimonsiri Hemtanon and Ajarn Arpaporn Iemubol from the Humanities and Languages Division and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chulathida Chomchai from the Science Division gave an introduction on Thai culture and general information on staying safe and healthy in Thailand, respectively.
The following day, the exchange and visiting students participated in a corporate social responsibility activity by teaching English language lessons to students at Thep Suwan Chan Witthaya School, Samut Songkram Province. Afterwards, they visited Ban Suan Samut Songkran, the old Siam Life Museum, to learn more about Thai culture and experience for the first time the traditional Thai way of life.
