On Nov 22nd , 2017, Mahidol University’s delegation led by Assist Prof Dr Thatchavee Leelawat, Acting Vice President for Information Technology and Kanchanaburi Campus, have been participating in the 13th QS-APPLE Conference and Exhibitionfrom 22nd – 24th November 2017, at the Splendor Hotel, Taichung City, Taiwan. The event has been started by the conference introduction by Prof Nigel Healey, Conference Programme Chair, QS-APPLE International Academic Advisory Committee, and Vice Chancellor, Fiji National University, Fiji, and the welcome remarks by Dr Wen-Hwa Lee, Chancellor of China Medical University, Taiwan. The welcome keynote speech was delivered by Dr K. S. Clifford Chao, Vice President, China Medical University on “Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education, which focusing about the important role of the artificial intelligence in research, data analysis, the future development of medicine and medical education.

In addition, on November 23rd, there were four academic papers to be presented by MU faculty member in the QS-APPLE including:

1) “Trop Med International Research Collaboration: Success Factors and Sustainability” by Assoc Prof Dr Waranya Wongwit, Deputy Dean for Education, Faculty of Tropical Medicine

2) “Strategy for Enhancing The Global University Brand: Case Study in Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Technology” by Assist Prof Dr Yodchanan Wongsawat, Vice Dean for Research and International Relations, Faculty of Engineering

3) “Enhancing the Global Impact and Reputation of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Research: Lessons Learnt from HTA Program at Mahidol University” by Assist Prof Dr Montarat Thavorncharoensap, Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy

4) “Backpacking Scholarship: A Learning Journey to Internationalization” by Dr Rapee Boonplueang, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Faculty of Science.
