Four graduate degree programs of Mahidol University have been accredited by the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) in the 163rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment, held from October 15th – 17th, 2019. These programs are as follows:

2. Master of Science Program in Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital;

3. Master of Public Health Program (International Program), Faculty of Public Health; and

4. Doctor of Philosophy Program in Physical Therapy (International Program), Faculty of Physical Therapy.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug, Acting Vice President for Quality Development and Academic Services, said that, all these times, Mahidol University determined to obtain feedback from the customers, students, graduates’ employees, research users, funding agencies, and relevant users in the academic field, to adjust quality development process in order to meet international standards as well as national and societal demands. He also mentioned that getting global recognition on the University’s products or “the graduates”, in terms of their quality, research, and innovation, conformed with the University’s determination “Wisdom of the Land”. During the last 3 years, Mahidol University has received several quality certifications from well- recognized bodies, domestically and internationally, such as Thailand Quality Award (TQA), AUN-QA, WFME, AACSB, MusiQuE, and TedQual.

The certification from the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) is a significant mechanism in educational quality assurance. It creates a common standard, at regional and global level, for member universities aiming to support student transfer or credit comparison, and strengthen the quality of higher education programs in the region. The certification is valid for 5 years, thus, the universities are allowed to adjust or improve the programs in accordance with the updated standards.

Currently, 31 programs of Mahidol University have been certified at the international level while 15 programs have met with standardized framework of the AUN-QA. In addition, several programs are being prepared for accreditation process. On top of this, however, Mahidol University aims to use assessment results as a guideline to achieve sustainable development and quality in order to become a “World-class University”.
