special talk 2

Dr.Sebastian C.P. Bhakdi, M.D., MIH, a faculty member and the CEO and founder of X-zell biotech co, ltd., one of Asia’s top innovative health technology start-ups, gave a talk at Department of Pathobiology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University (December 19th, 2019). In this seminar, he shared his experience in translating basic research to business. One of the many inventions is the new and simple blood test to detect clinically significant prostate cancer in high-risk patients. This test will be valuable in detecting early disease as well as predicting the aggressiveness of the disease which is important for designing the treatment plans. Moreover, it will nicely complement the PSA test currently used in the clinic.
