MUIC held an Orientation for 150 Inbound Students

On January 3 and 4, the Student Exchange Unit, Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized an orientation for 150 inbound students from Brunei, Japan, Singapore,  Hong Kong,   France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland,  Canada, USA, The UK , and Australia. who enrolled in Trimester 2 of Academic Year 2018-2019, 2019.

Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, Dean of MUIC, gave a welcome speech and general information on staying safe and healthy in Thailand. Dr. Alexander Nanni, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Dr. Brian J. Phillips, Advisor & Natural Science Lecturer, Ajarn Arpaporn Iemubol, Associate Dean for Administration and Ajarn Wimonsiri Hemtanon, Program Coordinator from the Humanities and Language Division also gave general information, academic information and an introduction to Thai language and culture.

Afterwards, the students went on a field trip at the Community Local Learning Center “Bann Bang Plub” Samut Songkram Province to learn more about Sustainable Agriculture and the Sufficiency Economy. They also visited Baanbenjarong Bangchang & Siladol, the porcelain making community, where they had a fun experience in making and painting Thai ceramic porcelain for the first time.
