The Communication Design Program (CDP) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) held “Margin: Communication Design Thesis Exhibition 2017” on July 28-30, 2017 at the 1st Floor (Atrium 2) of Siam Center in Bangkok.

Assoc. Prof. Phitaya Charupoonphol, MUIC Dean, VIP guests, faculty members, staff, and students attended the opening ceremony. The exhibition was meant to showcase the senior students’ work and highlight the strengths of the Communication Design Program of MUIC. There were 18 works on display representing students’ individual capabilities in solving design problems related to social awareness.

This year’s theme, Margin, refers to the grid system that is used in the design process and describes the students’ eagerness to explore new evolutionary approaches to design. In addition, it suggests the given boundaries and limitations that young designers need to consider and creatively stretch in order to go beyond the limits. Works on display represent students’ individual capabilities in solving design problems related to social awareness.
