Rights and guidelines for student Mandatory Military consist of
1. Military Service Postponement for students (male)
2. Military Conscription Postponement for students (male)
3. Reserve Officer Training for students (male/female)
1. Military Service Postponement for students (male)
All male students of Thai nationality are required to register with the Thai military when they are 21 years old. The registration starts 1 – 12 April (every year) Students who meet the age requirement must go to Military Recruitment. Students who request postponement of their Military Recruitment must submit the appropriate legal documents from Article 29 (3) within 1 – 31 October (before the year of recruitment) For more info please call 0-2849-4509 and www.orsa.mahidol.ac.th
2. Military Conscription Postponement for students (male)
Students who finished 3rd year of Reserve Officer Training and already registered to be reserve officer and received Military Conscription Letter from Government Military Office. Those students must report for duty “To investigate the condition / to training / or to testify” with Government Military Office as the law of military service. 3. Reserve Officer Training for students (male/female)
Mahidol University open for students who interest to apply for 1st – 5th year Reserve Officer Training Course according to military admissions regulations and take course at Reserves Training Center Territorial Defense Department. Students who need to apply for the Reserve Officer Training Course must report to Office of Division of Student Affairs, 3rd floor, Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University Salaya campus.
