On 27 February 2026, Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, participated in the York–Mahidol Seed Grant: Showcase & Information Session, convened virtually. The session was attended by Prof. Sarah Thompson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research at University of York, representing the University’s senior leadership.
On this occasion, Prof. Nopraenue delivered the opening address, emphasizing the strategic significance of the partnership between Mahidol University and the University of York in advancing high-quality joint research at the international level. She underscored the importance of fostering sustainable academic linkages, strengthening networks among early- and mid-career researchers, and cultivating collaborative initiatives with the potential to develop into externally funded, large-scale research programmes.
The session featured presentations of selected projects supported under the Seed Grant scheme, followed by substantive discussions at both policy and operational levels regarding the governance, implementation, and future development of the joint Seed Grant mechanism. The exchange reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to reinforcing institutional collaboration and ensuring its long-term continuity and sustainability.
