Mahidol University Participated in the Temasek Foundation – National University of Singapore Programme for Leadership in University Management (TF – NUS PLUM) at the Republic of Singapore

On 14th – 16th May 2024, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, along with Assoc. Prof. Naeti Suksomboon, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Flg. Off. Chatchai Kunavisarut, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni, Mahidol University, participated in the Temasek Foundation – National University of Singapore Programme for Leadership in University Management (TF – NUS PLUM), the programme which was organized by the cooperation between the Temasek Foundation and the National University of Singapore with the aim to be a vital platform for Asian university leaders to engage in dialogue and exchange insights on the latest trends, developments, and challenges faced by institutes of higher education on the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the roundtable discussion. In this regard, Prof. Tan Eng Chye, President of National University of Singapore, delivered welcome remarks, and Assoc. Prof. Lum Sau Kim, Associate Vice President (Global Relations), National University of Singapore, gave the introduction of the programme to the participants, including the executives from higher education institutions in the Southeast Asia region, at the National University of Singapore, the Republic of Singapore.

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Flg. Off. Chatchai Kunavisarut, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni, Mahidol University, also participated in the panel discussion on the topic of “Student Life: The University’s Role in Nurturing Holistic Student Growth” with Prof. Jaka Sembiring, Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Institut Teknologi Bandung, the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Christine Joy Ballada, Dean of Student Affairs, De La Salle University, the Republic of the Philippines, and Dr. Fairuzeta Ja’afar, Director of Studies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam. The session was moderated by Fr Roberto Yap, President, Ateneo de Manila University, the Republic of Philippines.
