On 21st May 2024, Assoc. Prof. Sompop Prathanturarug, Ph.D., Vice President for Planning, Quality Development, and Academic Services, Mahidol University, extended a warm welcome to H.E. Pat Bourne, the Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand, the Embassy of Ireland, along with Prof. Aoife Ahern, Vice-President for Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Dean of Engineering, UCD College of Engineering and Architecture, College Principal, University College Dublin, Prof. Aifric O’Sullivan, Deputy Vice-Principal (International), College of Health and Agricultural Sciences, Assistant Professor, UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science, and Principal Investigator, UCD Institute of Food and Health, University College Dublin, followed by the delegation from University College Dublin, Ireland, on the occasion of a university visit and to explore potential academic and research collaborations, including the cooperation on the Food Science and Food Safety, the exchange of Adjunct Professor and Visiting Professor, and the Joint Research Projects in the fields with mutual interest with the Institute of Nutrition, and also the exchange of students and academic staff, and curriculum development with the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The meeting took place at the 515 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalat Santivarangkna, Director of the Institute of Nutrition, Dr. Rapee Boonplueang, Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, Faculty of Science, the executives and faculties of Mahidol University, also gave a warm welcome and led H.E. Pat Bourne, the Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand, the Embassy of Ireland, together with the executives and the delegation from University college Dublin, Ireland, to visit the laboratories of the faculty and institution of Mahidol University.
