Mahidol University Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Academic and Research Collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeon Ireland (RCSI), University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ireland

On 8th February 2024, Prof. Wachira Kochakarn, M.D. FACS., Vice President of Mahidol University, and Prof. Celine Marmion, Deputy Dean for Student Engagement, Royal College of Surgeon Ireland (RCSI), University of Medicine and Health Sciences, jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic and research cooperation of both universities. On this occasion, the MoU signing ceremony was honorably witnessed by H.E. Pat Bourne, the Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand, the Embassy of Ireland, and Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University. Besides, Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., Dean of Mahidol University International College, Asst. Prof. Dale Konstanz, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Mahidol University International College, and Assoc. Prof. Summon Chomchai, Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, also witnessed the ceremony as they are the spearhead of the collaboration, at the 530AB meeting room, 5th floor, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

The MoU enables the cooperations between Mahidol University and the RCSI, University of Medicine and Health Sciences in academic and research areas comprising of the faculty members and academic staff exchange programmes, co-development in joint research projects, curriculum development and coaching, co-organization of joint conference, symposium, academic activities, and other meeting on subjects of mutual interests.
