On 8th February 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, warmly welcomed Prof. Yasuyuki Kono, Vice President of International Strategy, Prof. Mieno Fumiharu, Director of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), and Prof. Eiji Nawata, Director of the Kyoto University ASEAN Center, along with executives and representatives from Kyoto University, Japan. The purpose of their visit was to discuss academic and research collaboration, including the nomination of Adjunct Professors from both universities and cooperation on Multidisciplinary Research. The meeting took place at the 530AB meeting room, 5th floor, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

Following the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teraphan Ornthammarath, Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, accompanied by faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Engineering led the delegation from Kyoto University on a tour of the laboratories within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as the Department of Chemical Engineering, both housed within the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University.
