Mahidol University Participated in the APAIE 2024 Conference and Exhibition, With the Theme of “Collaborating for Sustainable Impact: Partnerships Across the Asia Pacific” at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC), Australia

On 4th – 7th March 2024 Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, and Vice President of Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), along with Asst. Prof. Dale Konstanz, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Mahidol University International College, participated in the APAIE 2024 Conference and Exhibition, with the theme of Collaborating for Sustainable Impact: Partnerships Across the Asia Pacific. During the opening ceremony, Hon David Templeton MLA, Ministry for Culture and the Arts, Local Government, and Heritage, Australia, delivered welcome remarks to participants, Prof. Venky Shankararaman, President of Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) and Vice Provost (Education), Singapore Management University, Singapore, gave the opening remarks, and Mr. Michael Wear, Mulgana Traditional Owner and Tidal Moon Managing Director, Tidal Moon, Australia, gave a keynote speech to all participants, including the executives and representatives from higher educational institutions worldwide. The conference was organized at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC), Australia.

The conference provided a diverse range of activities, including the presentation of academic works, academic workshops, exhibitions, and networking. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, and Vice President of Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), participated in a panel discussion on the topic of Sustainability and Media Literacy: Raising Awareness Among Students with Assoc. Prof. Mohd Fadhil Md Din, Director of UTM Campus Sustainability, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia, and Dr. Magdalena Gaete, Director, HSE University – Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, with the execution by Dr. Manoj Sharma, Vice President, HSE University – Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.

In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, and Vice President of Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), also participated in the Advisory Council Meeting to discuss further collaboration and the operation of networking with the executive committee of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE).

The APAIE 2024 Conference and Exhibition was organized between the 4th to 7th of March 2024 with the cooperation of the 5 Western Australian universities, consisting of Curtin University, the University of Western Australia, Murdoch University, the University of Notre Dame Australia, and Edith Cowan University. This conference aims to advance education through enabling greater cooperation between educational organizations worldwide, to enrich and support international programs, research and exchanges, as well as to promote the value of international education within the Asia-Pacific region.
