The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University proposed hosting the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2027 at ExCeL London, United Kingdom.

On May 31, 2023 the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Vice Dean for Strategy and Human Capital Management. Dr. Nantida Nillahoot, Assistant to the Dean and Dr. Shen Treratanakulchai, Lecturer from Biomedical Engineering Department submitted a proposal to host the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2027 (ICRA 2027) to be held in Thailand. The proposal was submitted during the 2022 academic conference held at ExCeL London. On this occasion, the Faculty team met Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom at the Royal Thai Embassy, London, United Kingdom and the ambassador was also invited to be a delegate to support the bidding for the ICRA 2027 conference.
