Mahidol University welcomed the Embassy of the United States of America

On Monday 7^th February 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Walasinee Sakcamduang, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, with the faculty executives and staff members had the honor of welcoming Mr. Evan Fox, the Economic Officer, Embassy of the United States of America in Bangkok and other delegates from the Embassy and the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences, to discuss the OIE Twinning Laboratory Project and other potential areas for collaboration.

The hybrid meeting also included online participation by Dr. Jonathan Sleeman (the Center Director of the USGS-National Wildlife Health Center) and U.S. Embassy staff members.

The OIE Twinning Laboratory Project is a joint project involving the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, and the USGS-National Wildlife Health Center to establish the OIE Collaborating Centre for Wildlife Health and Zoonotic Diseases in the Asia-Pacific region at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University with the ultimate goal of enhancing capacity building for general disease surveillance and coping with emerging diseases (EIDs) and wildlife health workforce.
