MUIC Chemistry Alumna Vies for Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings

Congratulations to Ms. Wanutcha Lorpaiboon, a Mahidol University International College (MUIC) alumna (Chemistry, Class of 2020), who was included in the list of potential candidates last November 2021 to the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings (Chemistry). The selection of Thai candidates was held under the auspices of the Thai government’s National Science and Technology Development Agency.

The final list of candidates will be announced in March this year and the meeting will be held on June 26 to July 1, 2022 in Lindau, Germany.

Until August last year, Ms. Wanutcha worked as a research assistant in Computational Chemistry in Mahidol University.

The meetings will focus on physiology and medicine, physics, and chemistry – the three natural science Nobel Prize disciplines. An interdisciplinary meeting revolving around all three natural sciences is held every five years. In addition, the Lindau Meeting on Economic Sciences is held every three years.

The different sessions – lectures, discussions, Master Classes, and panel discussions – are designed to spur an exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experience between and among Nobel Laureates and young scientists.
