Ramathibodi School of Nursing held a farewell and certification presentation ceremony for faculty members and nurses from Kunming Medical University, P.R. China.

Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, in collaboration with its partners—Luxembourg Aid & Development: Health and Nutrition Programme (Lao/035), the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the Government of the Lao PDR—as funding providers (financial resources), in organizing the training entitled “Infection Control Training Program for Healthcare Providers.”

On March 9, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over and delivered the opening remarks at the training entitled “Infection Control Training Program for Healthcare Providers.” The program was organized for healthcare personnel from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Cohort 2, and was conducted from March 9 to 20, 2026. Instructor Dr. Wunwisa Bualoy, Assistant Director for Academic Services, delivered the program report.

The participants were warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Benchaporn Chuengkriangkrai, Chair of Nursing Specialty Short Course Program in Infection Control Nursing and Chair of the Fundamental Nursing Division; along with Instructor Dr. Jiraporn Lininger, Deputy Director for International Relations, and Program Chair for the Master of Nursing Science Program (International Program); Associate Professor Chonnamet Techasaensiri, M.D., Chairman of the Hospital Infection Control Committee, and Director of Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital; RN. Orawan Warapapong, Director of Ramathibodi Nursing Division, Ramathibodi Hospital; and speakers from the Infection Prevention and Control Services, Ramathibodi Hospital.

The objective of the training was to enable participants to explain fundamental principles and key measures for infection prevention and control in hospitals, as well as to apply infection prevention guidelines to patients, healthcare personnel, and the healthcare environment.

The event took place at Room 422, 4th Floor, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building
