On January 19, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over and delivered the opening remarks at the training entitled “Infection Control Training Program for Healthcare Providers.” The program was organized for healthcare personnel from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Cohort 1, and was conducted from January 19 to 30, 2026.
The participants were warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Atsadaporn Niyomyart, Assistant Director for Academic Services; Assistant Professor Dr. Benchaporn Chuengkriangkrai, Chair of Nursing Specialty Short Course Program in Infection Control Nursing and Chair of the Fundamental Nursing; Instructor Dr. Jiraporn Lininger, Deputy Director for International Relations, and Program Chair for the Master of Nursing Science Program (International Program); Associate Professor Chonnamet Techasaensiri, M.D., Chairman of the Hospital Infection Control Committee, and Director of Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital; RN. Thanomvong Muntajit, Head of Infection Prevention and Control Services and her team; and RN. Nudcharee Santisumranwila, Assistant Director for Nursing Service, Ramathibodi Nursing Division, Ramathibodi Hospital.
The opening ceremony was also honored by the presence of Dr. Phonepaseuth Khampanisong, Technical Programme Adviser – Health and Nutrition Programme (LAO/035), from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The objective of the training was to enable participants to explain fundamental principles and key measures for infection prevention and control in hospitals, as well as to apply infection prevention guidelines to patients, healthcare personnel, and the healthcare environment.
The event took place at Room 423, 4th Floor, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building
