The Science Division of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), with support from the Strategic Planning and Quality Development Section, recently organized an innovation workshop entitled, “On the Cusp of Imagination and Innovation: A Workshop by SCG.” The event was held on February 20, 2026, at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building.
The workshop featured guest speakers from SCG — Dr. Anawat Ketcong, Dr. Wittaya Julklang, and Ms. Chayanee Peungkiatpairote — who shared industry insights, product development experiences, and the science and technology behind real-world innovations.
Guided by mentors including Asst. Prof. Dr. Tumnoon Charaslertrangsi, Chair of the Science Division, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Manchuta Dangkulwanich, Vice Chair, students participated in hands-on, industry-based learning activities designed to foster creativity and problem-solving skills.
Open to both science and non-science majors, the workshop brought together six interdisciplinary teams of five to six students. The morning session focused on knowledge sharing and inspiration from industry professionals, while the afternoon session engaged students in collaborative project development and pitching exercises. Each team presented their innovative ideas to a panel of judges comprising faculty members and SCG representatives.
Through this experiential learning experience, students strengthened their abilities to analyze existing products, apply creative problem-solving techniques, design commercially viable product extensions, and integrate industry perspectives into innovation practice.
The workshop reflected MUIC’s continued commitment to preparing students with practical skills, teamwork, and professional readiness aligned with real-world industry demands.
