On 26 January 2026, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D. Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, participated in an online meeting with the senior executives of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, People’s Republic of China. The delegation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology was led by Prof. Yonghui Zhang, Vice President for International Affairs.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to engage in in-depth discussions on strengthening academic collaboration. Key areas of discussion included the establishment and operationalization of a Joint Laboratory in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, with the aim of advancing joint research activities and fostering innovation.
In addition, both parties explored potential cooperation in the development of double degree programmes with relevant faculties. This initiative seeks to enhance international academic opportunities and enrich the educational experience of students from both institutions, thereby laying a solid foundation for long-term and sustainable strategic collaboration between the two universities.
