On 19 February 2026, Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, PhD, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, welcomed Mr. Ian Jeon, Coordinator for Global Mobility from Griffith University, Australia. The meeting was held at the OSM2 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University.
During the meeting, both parties discussed approaches to enhancing student internationalization, with a focus on strengthening the Student Mobility Programme between the two institutions. Key initiatives included the Mobility Summer Program, short term student exchange programmes, and future student mobility collaboration in various formats. Both universities also expressed mutual interest in advancing cooperation in the priority fields of Sustainability and Nursing.
In addition, Mahidol University and Griffith University are both members of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), with Griffith University having joined the network in 2024. The two institutions have also collaborated under the WUN Research Development Fund framework. This meeting therefore represents another important step in expanding student mobility collaboration and further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two universities in the long term.
