On January 28, 2025, the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (INT), Mahidol University, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry (SITI) and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) at Mahidol University, Salaya.
The visit was led by Prof. Dong Sun, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, together with his delegation. The delegation was officially welcomed by Prof. Dr.Sansanee Chaiyaroj, Advisor to the President for Research, Mahidol University. They were joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Viriya Taecharungroj, Director of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (INT), Ms. Onwalun Lohitharn Deputy Director, and Assoc. Prof. Dr.Krissada Asavaskulkiet, Deputy Director for Academic Service and Industry Partnership, who also took part in the welcoming session.
The visit also featured pitch presentations by three Thai startups Stemenpaws, RevoAllerX, and Organotopia creating opportunities for discussion and potential collaboration with the Hong Kong delegation.
The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between Hong Kong and Thailand in innovation, technology, and industry, while exploring future opportunities for academic collaboration, joint research, and innovation initiatives, and supporting Thai startups in expanding to the global market.
