On September 8, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, presided over the opening of the workshop titled “Enhancing Competency in Poison Management for Safer and Better Care.” Associate Professor Satariya Trakulsrichai, Director of Poison Center, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, delivered the welcoming remarks.
Speakers from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, the Poison Center, the Nursing Division of Ramathibodi Hospital, the Department of Medicine, and the Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, lectured to provide knowledge and understanding, as well as to exchange insights on clinical toxicology. The sessions focused on history taking, screening, assessment, and preliminary care for poisoned patients. Additionally, the lectures covered skills in providing guidance and preventing toxic exposure in the community, and skills in managing toxic emergencies commonly found in Thailand.
Registered nurses from all specialties, physicians, and other healthcare personnel from various public and private hospitals across the country showed great interest and actively participated in the event.
