On November 13, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Nursing Forum” at the academic conference “21st Ramathibodi Surgical Forum: Driving Surgical Excellence: Advances in Surgical Techniques, Minimally Invasive and Robotic Innovations,” and lectured on the topic “Navigating the Future of Nursing: How Nurse Leaders Can Lead in the Age of Robotics.” The conference was held from November 13 to 14, 2025. Associate Professor Dr. Suchira Chaiviboontham, Deputy Director for Administration, faculty members, and nursing students of Ramathibodi School of Nursing attended the event. Assistant Professor Dr. Atsadaporn Niyomyart, Assistant Director for Academic Services, presented the event report.
Associate Professor Dr. Benjamaporn Butsripoom, Chair of the Adult and Gerontological Nursing Division, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, served as the session chair for the topics “Advancement in robotic surgery” and “Integrating robotic surgery into nursing education and clinical practice.” Assistant Professor Kieratikan Payngulume, an Instructor from the Adult and Gerontological Nursing Division, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, served as a speaker for the topic “Bridging the gap between the classroom and the clinic: Virtual reality (VR) simulations.” Dr. Rakchanoke Kotcharoen, an Instructor from the Adult and Gerontological Nursing Division, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, served as the session chair for the topics “Robotic surgery and nursing” and “New era of robotic surgical systems.”
The conference aimed to provide participants with up-to-date knowledge of robotic surgery technology to keep pace with current situations and trends. It also aimed to enhance understanding of the treatment approaches that utilize robotic surgery in patient care, treatment, and nursing in accordance with international standards and with the highest effectiveness.
