Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, organized an online academic conference for nurse practitioners on “Multisectoral Approaches to Response Health-related Disaster for Sustainability.”

On February 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Suchira Chaiviboontham, Deputy Director for Administration, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over an academic conference on “Multisectoral Approaches to Response Health-related Disaster for Sustainability,” held from February 24 to 28, 2025.

On this occasion, it was an honor to have esteemed speakers from various departments and institutions, including medical faculty, Department of Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Health Promotion Division, advanced practice nurses, and registered nurses from Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; nursing faculty from the Division of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and the Division of Community Health Nursing, Ramathibodi School of Nursing. Additionally, medical faculty, advanced practice nurses, and academics from Chulabhorn Disaster and Emergency Medical Center; Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine Chulabhorn Royal Academy; Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing; Naval Medicine Department; Pharmacy Department, Vajira Hospital; Maesai Health Promoting Hospital, Maesai Province; Sena Hospital, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; Nongkhai Hospital, Nongkhai Province; Songkhla Hospital, Songkhla Province; Ratchaphiphat Hospital; Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University Amnatcharoen Campus; and National Innovation Agency, all participated as speakers.

The conference aimed to update the knowledge of nurse practitioner (primary medical care), as well as knowledge of nursing innovations and relevant laws. Additionally, to equip participants with the skills to apply this knowledge in their practice, and prepare them to respond to disasters and assist victims.

Registered nurses, nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, and nurse educators from public and private sectors and educational institutions across Thailand attended and showed great interest in participating.
