On November 17, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Suchira Chaiviboontham, Deputy Director for Administration of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, along with the administrative team and faculty members of Ramathibodi School of Nursing attended the annual academic conference on the topic “All Things Emergency: Survival Guides in Obstetrics and Gynecology.” The event was organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and took place from November 17 to 18, 2025.
On this occasion, Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony. In addition, the event featured the 2nd Wilai Benjakarn Honorary Lecture, titled “Evidence-Based Prevention and Treatment of PPH: WHO Recommendations,” delivered by Professor Pisake Lumbikanon, M.D., Immediate Past President of the Asia Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Convenor of Cochrane Thailand, and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research Synthesis in Reproductive Health, who had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker for this lecture.
The purpose of this event was to enhance knowledge, understanding, and capabilities related to obstetric and gynecologic issues across all subspecialties, particularly in obstetric and gynecologic emergencies. It also provided an in-depth conference on academic advances in interdisciplinary patient care, including maternal–fetal medicine, reproductive medicine, gynecologic oncology, female pelvic medicine, and reconstructive surgery, as well as to promote innovative approaches, foster collaboration in developing new research, and advancing new approaches to multidisciplinary patient care.
The event took place at Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building, Room 910ABC, 9th Floor.
