From 4–6 November 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, was invited to attend QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025 as a member of QS Global Advisory Sub Committee (GAC) Asia Pacific for 2025-2026. The summit was organized by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a global university ranking organization, in collaboration with Korea University, under the theme “Advancing Generational Potential: Skills and Partnerships in the Asia Pacific” in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The event was opened by Mr. Ben Sowter, Senior Vice President for Institutional Performance, QS, and welcomed by Professor Dong-One Kim, President of Korea University, followed by a Guest of Honour Keynote Address delivered by Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the Eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The Summit serves as a premier platform for collaboration and innovation in higher education across the Asia Pacific region. The program included in-depth discussions on the future of education, opportunities for strategic networking and partnership building, and the sharing of best practices. More than 2,000 university leaders, business experts, government officials, and educators attended the summit. Discussions focused on enhancing the potential of the next generation, developing skills and partnerships for sustainable development, and promoting collaboration between higher education institutions, industry, and government to prepare for the workforce of the future.
During the summit, Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant to the President for Education, Mahidol University, was warmly invited as a speaker on the topic “Empowering Learners: Mahidol University’s Innovative Play Ground for Personalized and Future-Ready Education.” The session highlighted Mahidol University’s “University Play Ground,” an innovative learning ecosystem designed to foster creativity, active engagement, and experimentation. Guided by the University’s core strategy “Empowering Learners” and aligned with the “Higher Education 6.0” framework, this initiative aims to cultivate students as innovative thinkers and globally competent citizens ready for future challenges.
