The Corporate Communication Unit of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) successfully organized “Project Counselor Connect 2025” under the theme “Emotional Agility for Teachers and Students Using ACT Principles to Foster Flexibility and Well-Being” on June 13, 2025, at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building.
The workshop featured Dr. Jaruwan Sakulku, Clinical Psychologist and faculty member of MUIC’s International Relations and Global Affairs program, and Mr. Chatdanai Sornchai, Mental Health Counselor and representative of Psycholism, as guest speakers. The event was officially opened with welcome remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology.
Attended by 50 high school counselors and representatives, the session aimed to equip experienced guidance professionals with tools to enhance both their own well-being and their capacity to support students. Drawing from the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the workshop offered practical strategies to:
• Navigate challenging emotions with openness
• Clarify and act upon personal and professional values
• Help students build resilience and psychological flexibility
• Maintain professional effectiveness through mindful, values-based self-care
The program incorporated interactive discussions, guided reflections, and practical takeaways, enabling participants to develop a personal flexibility plan applicable in both personal and educational contexts.
The event concluded with a guided tour of MUIC facilities, giving participants the opportunity to explore the college’s academic environment.
