Mahidol University Hosts Mahidol University International Partnerships Week 2025

Mahidol University, through its International Relations Division, organized Mahidol University International Partnerships Week 2025 under the theme “Global Synergies for Sustainable Impact: Advancing Holistic Well-being and Partnerships for the Goals.”

On 16 December 2025, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D, FRCP President of Mahidol University, delivered the welcoming remarks and presented an overview of the University. This was followed by a keynote presentation on “MU’s Internationalization Strategy” by Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D. Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council. The event was attended by Mahidol University executives and representatives from 17 international partner institutions, namely Durham University, Florida International University, Institute of Science Tokyo, Kunming Medical University, Macquarie University, Nanjing University, National Cheng Kung University, National Taiwan University, Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University, Seoul National University, The University of British Columbia, The University of New South Wales, University College Dublin, University of Cape Town, University of Reading Malaysia, University of Southern Queensland, and the University of Sussex.

The event took place from 16–19 December 2025 at the 2nd Floor Conference Room, Mahidol University Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage, Sirivadhanabhakdi Building, Salaya, and via an online platform.

On this occasion, Mahidol University was honored to welcome Dr. Luksamon Samansin Director, International Affairs Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), who delivered a special lecture entitled “Thailand’s Higher Education Landscape.”

This inaugural Mahidol University International Partnerships Week was established as a key platform to strengthen and expand academic and research collaborations with global partner universities. The program featured the Mahidol University Showcase, highlighting the University’s strengths and achievements across four core areas: Academic Collaboration, Research Partnerships, Staff and Student Mobility, and Capacity Building.

In addition, Speed Dating sessions were organized to facilitate discussions between Mahidol University faculties and partner institutions, enabling the exchange of ideas, exploration of new collaborative opportunities, and expansion of existing partnerships aligned with each faculty’s expertise. The event also included Information Sharing Sessions, providing partner universities with opportunities to present their institutional profiles, policies, and strategic directions in higher education.

The event aimed to strengthen international networks and partnerships with leading global institutions, support the development of joint programs and mobility initiatives for students and staff, and further enhance Mahidol University’s international profile and global engagement.
