Mahidol University and Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sign Memorandum of Understanding for the “MFA – MU Enhancing Thailand Capacity Building Hub” Project

On June 12, 2025, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, together with Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the “MFA – MU Enhancing Thailand Capacity Building Hub” project. The signing ceremony took place at Reception Room 5, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Si Ayutthaya Road, Bangkok.

Distinguished attendees witnessing the signing included Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division of TICA, and senior administrators from Mahidol University.

The “MFA – MU Enhancing Thailand Capacity Building Hub” project aims to enhance knowledge and capacity in key sectors such as health sciences, humanities and social sciences, and science and technology. The initiative will involve knowledge transfer from experts at Mahidol University and international partners under the “Training the Trainers” model. The program seeks to achieve broad impact both within Thailand and in developing countries, reinforcing Thailand’s role as a regional hub for capacity building and sustainable development.
