Mahidol University Welcomes Delegation from Nanjing University, People’s Republic of China

On 16 May 2025, Mahidol University extended a warm welcome to Prof. Tan Tieniu, Chair of Nanjing University CPC Council, Fellow of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with a delegation from Nanjing University (NJU), People’s Republic of China. The visit aimed to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University along with AssocProfDrSarawut Thepanondh Dean of Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noppol Arunrat, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University and Dr. TanTechalertpaisarn, Assistant Dean for Information Technology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University. The meeting was held at Meeting Room 530, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

The discussion focused on exploring possibilities for expanding academic collaboration, including student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, and long-term cooperation in science, environmental studies, and sustainability. These areas of collaboration are in line with Mahidol University’s mission to foster global partnerships and international academic networks.

This visit marks an important step in reinforcing the positive relationship between the two universities and opens up opportunities for future strategic cooperation that will contribute to academic advancement and mutual development.
