On May 16, 2025, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, together with Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, and Dr. Watchara Riupaiboon, Advisor, Ratchasuda Institute, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, visited New York University, USA, to discuss and strengthen collaborative efforts. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Gbenga Ogedegbe, Director of the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity at NYU Langone Health, who, along with his team of executives and faculty members, warmly welcomed the delegation and delivered an overview presentation on “Achieving Excellence in Health Equity Through Care Delivery, Education, and Discovery.”
The discussions encompassed various areas of collaboration, including the continuation and expansion of existing partnerships. These include assistive technology for persons with disabilities in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital; oral health initiatives with the Faculty of Dentistry; and surgical sciences with the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. In addition, the parties explored new avenues of cooperation in fields such as neuroscience, music, and global health challenges–particularly those related to human rights and human health.
