On June 23, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and University Council Affairs, Mahidol University together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantiya Duangphoometh, Director of the Institute of Asian Studies and Culture, Mahidol University, participated in the Opening Ceremony of The 20th ASEAN and 10th ASEAN+3 Youth Cultural Forum 2025, held under the theme “Cultural Roots and Rhythms: Flourishing Together in Unity and Harmony.” The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Vilit Phurivachira, President of Chulalongkorn University, and took place at the Main Auditorium of Chulalongkorn University.
The forum is being held from June 22–27, 2025, and is co-hosted by Mahidol University alongside fellow AUN-AYCF (ASEAN University Network – ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum) partner universities in Thailand, including Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Burapha University, and Prince of Songkla University. The event aims to promote the preservation, continuity, and development of ASEAN cultural heritage, both in theory and in practice.
The forum also serves as a platform for cultural exchange among youth from ASEAN and ASEAN+3 countries, fostering mutual understanding, cross-cultural learning, and building strong people-to-people networks. This participation reflects Mahidol University’s commitment to advancing regional collaboration, intercultural dialogue, and empowering youth as key agents in promoting peace, sustainability, and shared prosperity across Asia.
