June 16-19, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug, Vice President for Strategic Planning, Quality Development and Social Engagement at Mahidol University, attended Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye. The Congress was organized by Times Higher Education (THE), co-hosted with Türkiye’s Council of Higher Education. The event attracted over 5,000 participants from various sectors, including higher education institutions, governments, public and private sectors, and civil society.
The GSDC 2025 serves as a premier platform for global experts, innovators, and policymakers to convene and discuss strategies for advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Congress featured more than 400 speakers and covered six core tracks including:

• Energy and Industry
• Food, Land, Water and Oceans
• Health and Well-being
