Mahidol University Hosts the 4th Meeting of the International Affairs Committee of the Association of University Presidents of Thailand (AUPT) in 2025

On 19 December 2025, Mahidol University served as the host institution for the 4th Meeting of the International Affairs Committee of the Association of University Presidents of Thailand (AUPT) for the year 2025.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, extended a formal welcome to the meeting participants. The meeting was presided over and officially opened by Asst. Prof. Tanyanuparb Anantana, Ph.D.

Vice President for International Relations, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, in his role as Chair of the AUPT International Affairs Committee.

The meeting brought together senior leadership from higher education institutions nationwide, including committee members and vice presidents responsible for international relations and global engagement. The meeting was held at the Mahidol University Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage Conference Room, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

As part of the program, a structured networking session was convened between 14 international partner universities of Mahidol University participating in Mahidol University International Week 2025 and members of the International Affairs Committee. The session aimed to foster strategic networking and facilitate concrete, outcome-oriented collaboration between international partner institutions and Thai universities.

The meeting focused on reviewing and advancing ongoing initiatives under the international mission framework, facilitating the exchange of best practices in international relations management, and formulating forward-looking strategies to strengthen the international visibility, global standing, and academic standards of Thai higher education. These discussions align with the mission of the Association of University Presidents of Thailand to promote inter-institutional collaboration for the advancement of the national higher education system.

As the host institution, Mahidol University underscored its institutional readiness and strategic capacity to support the work of the International Affairs Committee, which serves as a key strategic mechanism in advancing Thai universities toward enhanced international recognition and positioning Thailand as a sustainable regional hub for education and research.
