Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presented the practice progress of a young representative of Thailand who will be competing in the 47th International Skills Competition, “WorldSkills Lyon 2024,” in the Health and Social Care category in Lyon, France.

On July 19, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, hosted a visit for Ms. Buppha Ruangsud, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development, along with the executives, and staff from the Department of Skill Development. The purpose of the visit was to attend the presentation of the practice progress of the Thai youth representative who will be competing in the 47th International Skills Competition, WorldSkills Lyon 2024,” in the Health and Social Care category in Lyon, France.

Instructor Dr. Jiraporn Lininger, Deputy Director for International Relations and Program Chair for the Master of Nursing Science Program (International Program) and the project leader, gave a report. Dr. Ratchanok Phonyiam, an expert and Instructor from the Division of Community Health Nursing, presented the practice progress in various skills related to the nursing of Ms. Ariyaporn Limkamontip, RN, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, a youth representative of Thailand, before participating in the competition.

In this regard, the Director-General of the Department of Skill Development delivered an encouraging speech and advice to both the youth representative and the expert. The youth representative also conveyed her gratitude for being part of the competition.

Additionally, there were recordings of simulated practice sessions focusing on caring for patients after lung surgery to prevent pneumonia. Associate Professor Dr. Sangthong Terathongkum and Dr. Jantra Keawpugdee,instructors from the Division of Community Health Nursing at Ramathibodi School of Nursing, participated in the simulation.

A team from the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS) and a team from Mahidol University filmed and interviewed the executive, the expert, and the competitor from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.
