On December 2, 2024, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of “UTS-MU Global Short Program: Cultural Immersion”, hosted by the Global Partnerships Division of Mahidol University and University of Technology Sydney, Australia. The program was scheduled to be held during December 1 – 15, 2024, proposed to provide opportunities for international students to develop academic and research skills in science, technology, and international business, while enhancing the students’ immersion in Thai culture through a variety of activities, such as lectures, excursions, and cultural exchange activities. On this occasion, Distinguished Prof. Alaina Ammit, Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Science, University of Technology Sydney, honored to deliver introductory remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dakrong Pissuwan, Program Mentor, and Head of the School of Materials Science and Innovation, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, gave an introduction to the program, and Mr. Tayud Mongkolrat, Chief Editor of Thailand Foundation, gave a presentation on “Introduction to Thailand and Thai Culture” to the participants, including the students from University of Technology Sydney, Australia. The activity took place at the 305 Room, Mahidol Learning Center (MLC), Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
