On the 29th to 31st of January, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, along with Assoc. Prof. NaetiSuksomboon, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Chanokporn Puapattanakun, Director of the Center for Life–integrated Learning, Mahidol University, visited the University of Southern Queensland on the occasion of academic collaborative discussion, including the curriculum development in Micro–credentials for students in the General Education and for the general public who want to approach the Mahidol University lifelong learning process in which responsible by the Center for Life–integrated Learning of Mahidol University. In addition, the purpose of this visit was to discuss the universities’ internationalization cooperation as well. Besides, the Mahidol University executives received a warm welcome by Prof. Geraldine Mackenzie, Vice–Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland, and the executive team, the faculty members and staff, at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
On this occasion, the executives of Mahidol University in addition to Prof. Geraldine Mackenzie, Vice–Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland, and Dr. Julie Lindsay, Senior Education Technology Advisor of the University of Southern Queensland, participated in the meeting to discuss collaboration on bringing the Micro–credentials Curriculum, which is a part of the General Education and also the essential development skill in education, to provide for the Mahidol University students in both International program and Thai program.
Additionally, Prof. Glen Coleman, Acting Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Prof. Charlotte Brownlow, Dean of the Graduate Research School, and Dr. Ian Davis, Senior Academic Developer, from the University of Southern Queensland, also attended at the meeting to discuss collaborations with the executive team on the Community of Practice (CoPs) framework, the internationalization cooperation on the Seed Grant Funding in the genres of Environment and Sustainability, Veterinary, and Aerospace Engineering, the Collaborative Online Learning (COILs) in Nursing, and the international relations officer exchange programs.
