On 11th April 2024, Mahidol University by ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), and National Health Security Office (NHSO) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the Thai Health System and National Health Security System. This ceremony was honored by Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University and Dr. Jadej Thammatacharee, Secretary-General of National Health Security Office, to preside over this event. Moreover, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Acting for Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and Dr. Lalitaya Kongkam, Deputy Secretary-General of National Health Security Office (NHSO), also honored to sign as witness at the Krasae Chanawongse Room, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The MoU signing ceremony aimed to strengthen academic initiatives related to the Thai Health System and National Health Security System, fostering sustainability and the dissemination of knowledge derived from research and innovation. These efforts are expected to have a positive impact on policy advocacy and public health outcomes.
