On 7th August 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Acting Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, gave a warm welcome to Prof. Vishna Devi V Nadarajah, Provost and CEO, Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, Prof. Jonathan Galloway, Provost and CEO, Newcastle University in Singapore, and Ms. Laura Mitford, Senior Manager, Newcastle University International Office, from Newcastle University, the United Kingdom. The purposes of the visitation was to explore potential collaborations on academic and research with Mahidol University, including research collaboration in Biotechnology and Chemistry, and the cooperation on Dual-degree Programs with the Faculty of Science, the cooperation on Summer School Programs, the student exchange programs, and Joint Research Projects in the fields of mutual interest with the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, as well as the cooperation on Cotutelle and Joint Supervision Programs and the exchange of students and academic staff with the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. In this regard, Mr. Punpermsak Aruni, Director of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Drive and Development Division, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), gave an honor to welcome the delegation at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Prasit Suwannalert, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Science, Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, M.D., Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, together with faculty executives, faculty members and staff of Mahidol University, also welcomed and discussed further collaborations with the delegates from Newcastle University, the United Kingdom.
