On 17 October, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, extended a warm welcome to Prof. Anne Mills, Professor of Health Economics and Policy, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), the United Kingdom, together with Dr. Viroj Tangcharoensathien, Advisor of IHPP, and Ms. Woranan Witiapipopsakul, from the International Health Policy Program (IHPP), at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. The purpose of the visitation was to explore potential academic and research collaborations between Mahidol University and LSHTM, including the development of intercalated degree programmes for medical students and joint-degree programmes in other disciplines. The further collaborations included a capacity building e.g. guest speaker on Health Economics for students and faculties.
In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Pharm.D., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Research Professor Dr. Jetsumon Prachumsri, Deputy Dean for Research, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, along with the team of faculty of Mahidol University, also gave a warm welcome and discussed further collaborations with the delegation at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Phayathai Campus.
