The Global Partnerships Division, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy organized the International Film Festival. Today, “Me and the Magic Door” was screened.

On 28th August 2024, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, Acting President of Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival, which was particularly held to present a movie titled “Me and the Magic Door”. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Acting Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, gave introductory remarks. On this occasion, the event was honored to have Ms. Francesca Blasone, Counselor and Deputy Head of Mission, from the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok to give an opening speech to all participants, including 100 students of Mahidol University. The event took place at the Mini Theater, 3rd Floor, Mahidol Learning Center (MLC) Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

The International Film Festival was organized by the Mahidol University Students, Academic and International Services (MUSAIS), runs by the Global Partnerships Division of Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy, the Sawasdee France of the Embassy of France, and the Korean Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, in Bangkok.

The event was scheduled to be held on the 28th of August, followed by the 4th and the 11th of September, 2024. The purpose of this event was to build strong partnerships between Mahidol University and the foreign embassies in Thailand. Moreover, to provide opportunities for the MU students to learn foreign cultures from films and cultural exhibitions. In principle, the event aims to encourage the students to be Global Citizens.
