Mahidol University Explore Potential Collaborations on Academic and Research with the Executives and Delegates from Philippines, Hong Kong, Canada, and New Zealand

On 14th June 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, warmly welcomed Dr. Shun Fung Chiu, Presidential Adviser on Sustainability, Mr. Antonio Carlos Maralit, Executive Director, University Sustainability Office, and the delegation from De La Salle University, Philippines, on the occasion of a university visitation and to discuss collaborations related to the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) with Mahidol University. Additionally, the executive of Mahidol University also explored the possibility of academic and research collaborations with Prof. Aiping LYU, Vice President of Research and Development, Prof. Christy CHEUNG, Director of the Research Office, Dr. Jingwen MU, Director of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning, and the delegation from Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong, including the collaborations on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics, Bioinformatics, Creative Media, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Sciences Technology, and Sport Sciences, the Joint Research Projects, the Joint Ph.D. Programs and Double Degree Programs, and the exchange of students as well. The meeting took place at the 515 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, SalayaCampus.

Afterwards, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, also gave a warm welcome to Dr. Cen Huang, Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President International, Dr. Amit Kumar, Professor in Mechanical Engineering and Deputy Director of Future Energy Systems, and Dr. Sandeep Agrawal, Professor in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Director of Alberta Land Institute, from the University of Alberta, Canada, for a university visitation and to explore potential collaborations on academic and research with Mahidol University, including the exchange of students and the Joint Research Projects in the fields of mutual interest, at the OSM1 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. In this matter, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, and Asst. Prof. Chamras Promptmas, Ph.D., Advisor to the Dean for Supporting the Organization’s Mission, Faculty of Engineering, followed by faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies and the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, also welcomed and led the executive and delegation from the University of Alberta, Canada, to visit the laboratories of the faculties.

Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, along with Assoc. Prof. Pasit Pakawatpanurut, Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, Faculty of Science, and Dr. Rapee Boonplueang, Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, also gave a warm welcome to Prof. JR Rowland, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Science, University of Auckland, and the representatives from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and jointly discussed the expansion of academic and research collaborations on Biodiversity, Future Food, and Materials Sciences, and the cooperation on the student exchange programs, the internship programs, and the Joint Research Projects in the fields of mutual interest with the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University. This meeting took place at the 530AB Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
