Mahidol University, in Cooperation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL), and the University of Victoria, Canada, Co-organized the “Developing a Sustainability Mindset Training Program for Executives” at Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Between the 18th – 20th of January, 2024

On 18th January 2024, Clinical Prof. Emeritus Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, M.D., Chairman of Mahidol University Council, honored to preside over the opening ceremony of the Developing a Sustainability Mindset Training Program for Executives. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Sompop Prathanturarug, Vice President for Planning, Quality Development, and Academic Services, together with Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, reported on Mahidol Universitys Sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives. Besides, Assoc. Professor Dr. Varakorn Samakoses, Honorary Members of Mahidol University Council, Dr. Thaweesak Koanantakool, Honorary Members of Mahidol University Council, Asst. Prof. Ittichote Chuckpaiwong, Vice President for Environment and Sustainable Development, along with the executives from faculties, institutes, and colleges of Mahidol University participated in this program at Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin, PrachuapKhiri Khan province, Thailand.

This development scheme was coorganized by Mahidol University, in Cooperation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL), and the University of Victoria, Canada. After the opening ceremony, the lecture and brainstorming session on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was carried out by Prof. Heather Ranson, Associate Director, Centre for Social and Sustainable Innovation, Gustavson School of Business, and Dr. Crystal Tremblay, Director of CIFAL Victoria and Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, from the University of Victoria, Canada. In principle, the purpose of this program was focused on developing and building the skills and capacities of Mahidol Universitys executives on the organization development, including in academic, research, and organization administration, by applying with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework.
