On 13th February 2024, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, delivered a welcome speech at the JAPAN-ASEAN BRIDGES EVENT SERIES. On this occasion, Mr. Uwe Morawetz, Founding Chairman of the International Peace Foundation, gave introductory remarks to the participants at the event with the purpose of knowledge, idea, and experience exchange in medical science with Nobel laureates. Particularly, Prof. Edvard Ingjald Moser, the Nobel Laureate for Physiology or Medicine 2014, honored to deliver a keynote speech on the topic of “The brain’s GPS: How we know where we are”. Besides, Prof. Dr. David John Ruffolo, Mahidol University Council Member, along with Prof. Dr. Pattarachai Kiratisin, M.D., Ph.D., Vice President for Research, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, and Emeritus Professor M.R. Jisnuson Svasti, Staff Research Expertise, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, followed by executives, lecturers, students and staff of Mahidol University, representatives from academic institutes and honored guests, participated in this event. Additionally, Dr. Rapee Boonplueang, Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, Faculty of Science, was the moderator throughout the event at the Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok, and via the Zoom Meeting platform.
