Mahidol University, in Collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, Held the AUN – Thailand Summer Camp 2024, themed “Beyond Border, Better Health: Medical Tourism in Thailand”

On 1st July 2024, Mahidol University, in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, held the AUN – Thailand Summer Camp 2024, under the theme “Beyond Border, Better Health: Medical Tourism in Thailand”. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony, and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, Chulalongkorn University, gave the introductory remarks. Afterwards, Mr. Tayud Mongkolrat, delivered a presentation for the “Introduction to Thai”. On this occasion, Dr. Choltis Dhirathiti, Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Acting Vice President, Chulalongkorn University, honored to deliver welcome remarks to the participants. This programme included 97 students from university members of the ASEAN University Network (AUN). The opening ceremony was held at the 801 Room, Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.

Mahidol University, in cooperation with Chulalongkorn University co-hosted the mentioned programme, with the support of the ASEAN University Network (AUN). The programme is scheduled to be held during the 1st to 12th of July, 2024, took place at Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, and Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. The purpose of this course was to develop a balanced understanding on two types of medical tourism development among the participants, including the Health Promotion Tourism and the Health Healing Tourism through learning from a combination of experiential learning activities. This course aimed to raise awareness on the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) as well by focusing on the SDG 3 which targets to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
